We will service your vehicle to suit your manufacturer service schedule. Whether you need a full service or an interim service, we offer a service to suit, and for newer vehicles we can update your online digital service history.

FOX Automotive are a German Vehicle Specialist, covering Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, Seat, Cupra, BMW, Mini, Mercedes and Porsche. We use original manufacturer parts or quality aftermarket parts, depending on your requirements, and we will discuss the parts options with you before booking your vehicle in. OEM parts are recommended for vehicles with a manufacturer’s warranty still active.

The services we perform and parts we fit will meet manufacturer requirements for newer vehicles that are still under warranty.

FOX Automotive is run by Tom, our director, from the workshop at Station Road in Theddingworth.

We are fully insured to drive customer vehicles, with full indemnity & liability insurance. We are happy to send a copy on request.

Keeps your car in top condition between major services. We inspect vital components such as the engine, brakes and fluids, and change your engine oil & filter. All parts used are approved to keep your car's manufacturer warranty valid.

Cambelt & Waterpump Change VAG Group 1.6 & 2.0 TDi

We change your cambelt, water pump, tensioner, pulleys & fixings. We also renew your coolant. This covers all transverse engined VAG group cars (All Volkswagen / Seat / Skoda Cars & Audi Hatchbacks).

  • The recommended interval is 5yrs or 75,000 miles, whichever occurs soonest.

We will require your vehicle for the full day.

We change your Cambelt, Waterpump, Tensioner, Pulleys & Fixings. We also renew your coolant.

4 Motion / Quattro Haldex Service

We change the Haldex specific oil and remove the pump from the differential casing and clean the inner metal gauze to prolong the Haldex pump's lifespan.

We will discuss the parts options with you before booking your vehicle in, and can offer OEM parts or quality aftermarket parts.

Everything else we do

We offer Interim and Full Services on all vehicle makes and models, older and newer. An interim service covers engine oil, oil filter and air filter with a 40 point visual inspection including brakes, tyres and general vehicle condition. A full service adds the pollen or cabin filter and fluid checks (brake & coolant), with a 40 point inspection sheet filled in by our technician.

  • Timing Belt / Timing Chain Replacement

    Vehicles will have a specific manufacturer's interval for the lifespan of a timing belt or chain. This will be noted in your vehicle's owner's manual. It is one of the most integral parts of an engine: it controls all the timing of the pistons and valves, and if it snaps due to wear it can cause detrimental damage to the engine.

    Prices for timing belt and chain replacement are vehicle specific, so please get in touch for a quote.

  • Brakes

    We can offer replacements for brake pads, discs and wear sensors using OEM or quality aftermarket parts.

  • Exhausts

    Have you noticed your exhaust blowing? We fit new exhaust parts for all vehicles. Whether it’s your downpipe, centre section or silencers that need replacing, we can effectively replace any defective sections using OEM or quality aftermarket parts.

  • Tyres

    The legal minimum tread depth for tyres in the UK is 1.6mm. If your tyres are past the tread depth markers, or you have noticed any tyre defects, we have full tyre fitting and balancing machines and can supply and fit. We will offer you options including budget, mid-range and premium brands. Prices vary on brand and tyre size.

  • Suspension & Steering

    A critical part of any vehicle for its road handling. Made up of so many moving and perishable parts, including bushes, ball joints, top mounts, springs, dampers and track rods, any failing component can give bad feedback through the steering wheel and have a detrimental effect on drivability.

    If you are feeling any looseness or bad feedback through your steering, or any knocks when driving over uneven roads or pot holes, get in contact and we can offer a thorough inspection. We will offer advice and options for any parts that may need renewing.

  • Gearbox & Clutch

    Is your car slipping in gear, not engaging gears properly, or are there whining or grinding noises coming from your drivetrain? We offer diagnostics and fixes for all kinds of gearbox including manual, Auto and DSG gearboxes.

  • Vehicle Diagnostics

    Warning lights such as ABS, Steering, Check Engine Light, Traction and Airbag can be concerning when they appear on your dash. We have up to date OBD2 diagnostics software for all makes and models of vehicle: we connect to your vehicle, diagnose the issue and offer a solution.

  • MOT

Absolutely brilliant service from Tom at Fox Automotive Limited. Tom carried out the DQ381 mechatronic repair on my 2020 VW Tiguan, and I couldn’t be happier with the job.
